The Dbacks are trading dudes off to contenders left and right. First Oliver Perez to the Astros, now Cliff Pennington to the Blue Jays, reports Chris Cotillo. The return: infielder Dawel Lugo.
Pennington is hitting .237/.314/.281 with one homer and 10 RBI in 135 at-bats on the season. He’ll likely serve as a backup to Ryan Goins and Troy Tulowitzki. Lugo, 20, plays for high-A Dunedin where he’s hitting .219/.258/.292 on the year.
