It’s a return to the National League Central for Perez, who was a supplemental first-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2006 and spent almost two years in St. Louis before being traded to the Indians in a package for Mark DeRosa. Perez departed Cleveland on somewhat bad terms in 2013 and posted an ugly 4.27 ERA in 46 1/3 innings of relief last season for the Dodgers. The 29-year-old will try to resurrect his career with the Brewers.
