Texas’ initial lineup had Adrian Beltre on the bench again due to the back injury he suffered in Game 1 of the ALDS, but the Rangers revised the lineup one hour before the first pitch and Beltre is now starting at third base and batting third in Game 4 versus Toronto.

Hanser Alberto returns to the bench after filling in for Beltre, although he’ll no doubt be on constant standby as the Rangers keep a close eye on Beltre’s health throughout the game.

Beltre went through pregame warm-ups to test his back injury, apparently had no major problems, and then talked manager Jeff Banister into letting him play.
