Craig Kimbrel reportedly looking for six-year deal

ESPN’s Buster Olney reports that Craig Kimbrel is looking for a six-year contract.

And I want a pony.

To be sure, Kimbrel should get a big deal, but it’s hard to imagine any team going six years on a relief pitcher with nine years and 542 games under his belt. Even if they’re great games for the most part as they are in Kimbrel’s case. That’s especially true given that Kimbrel rejected the qualifying offer the Red Sox made him, meaning any signing team will have to forfeit a draft pick in order to get him.
