Alex Wood is finally back. The Dodgers activated the lefty from the disabled list on Tuesday and designated pitcher Bud Norris for assignment to create roster space.
Wood, 25, was sidelined for three and a half months due to an elbow injury. He underwent an elbow debridement in July. Prior to the injury, he had a 3.99 ERA and a 62/19 K/BB ratio in 56 1/3 innings over 10 starts.
Norris, 31, struggled with the Dodgers after being acquired in a trade with the Braves. In nine starts and four relief appearances, the right-hander posted a 6.54 ERA and a 42/21 K/BB ratio in 42 2/3 innings.
