UPDATE: Liriano has been placed on the disabled list, with the Twins calling up Scott Diamond from Triple-A for tomorrow’s spot start.
==========

Francisco Liriano, who spent time on the disabled list in May and June with shoulder problems and has a lengthy history of assorted arm injuries, left today’s start against the Orioles after two innings with a strained shoulder.

Alex Burnett replaced Liriano in the third inning and then tomorrow’s scheduled starter, Anthony Swarzak, replaced him in the fourth inning, so the Twins’ rotation may be in for a major shakeup.

Or at least another major shakeup, as Scott Baker and Nick Blackburn are already on the disabled list.
