Glass to take interest in $100 million investment

9 1/2 years after spending $96 million to buy the Royals, David Glass has decided to check out first-hand just what is wrong with his team. Reports The Associated Press: Glass said Friday that he plans to clear his schedule to attend more games and see why the Kansas City Royals are having one of their most disappointing seasons in years. Of course, disappointing is a relative term while dealing with the Royals. In the eight full seasons since Glass was outbid but handed the Royals anyway, the team has lost 97, 100, 79, 104, 106, 100, 93 and 87 games. At present, the Royals are 45-69, putting them on pace to go 64-98. Glass went on to say that he isn’t planning any changes at this time, but maybe an up-close look at regulars Yuniesky Betancourt and Willie Bloomquist will make him view things differently.
