Glen Perkins tossed a 1-2-3 ninth inning for the Twins last night, converting his 22nd save in 24 chances while lowering his ERA to 1.77. And as the All-Star closer revealed via Twitter shortly afterward, he was pitching with his fly down:

Nothing like getting two outs in the bottom of the ninth and realizing your fly is down!

St. Paul Pioneer Press photographer Ben Garvin got some visual evidence, snapping a picture of Perkins on the mound, mid-zip:

All the more reason why most Twins fans will be devastated if the team trades Perkins.
