Red Sox left fielder Hanley Ramirez, who underwent a CT scan last week when he was hit on the foot by a pitch, exited this afternoon’s game in the third inning “due to illness.”
Ramirez is off to a good start in the first season of a four-year, $88 million contract with the Red Sox, smacking five homers in 11 games with an .895 OPS.
Allen Craig replaced him in left field against the Orioles.
