Per Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News, Mets reliever Hansel Robles has had his suspension reduced from three to two games, which he will serve at the beginning of the regular season on April 3 in Kansas City against the Royals. Robles had appealed his suspension back in October.
Robles threw up and in to Phillies catcher Cameron Rupp on September 30 during a particularly heated game between the two clubs. Robles was immediately ejected. Previously in that game, Justin De Fratus hit Yoenis Cespedes in the hand, Adam Loewen hit Kirk Nieuwenhuis (the replacement for Cespedes), and Logan Verrett hit Odubel Herrera in the back. Both sides were issued warnings by home plate umpire Bob Davidson.

Mets manager Terry Collins said on Saturday that Robles has a guaranteed spot in the club’s bullpen. Last year, in his rookie season, the 25-year-old right-hander posted a 3.67 ERA with 61 strikeouts and 18 walks over 54 innings.
