James Loney undergoes MRI on left knee
According to Tony Jackson of ESPN Los Angeles, James Loney is scheduled for an MRI on his left knee today. The 26-year-old has been bothered by tightness in the knee over the past few days.
For now, Dodgers manager Don Mattingly doesn’t appear too concerned.
The Dodgers hope to have the results of the MRI before the end of the day.
Loney batted .267/.329/.395 with 10 home runs and 88 RBI last season. He finished with a career-low .723 OPS, well below the major league average (.800) for first basemen.
