Kevin Millwood rocked at Triple-A, done with Yankees?

It may be time for the Yankees and Kevin Millwood to end their short and uneventful marriage.

According to Andrew Marchand of ESPN New York, the veteran right-hander was shelled for six earned runs over just two innings Thursday evening in what might have been his final start at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Millwood has a clause in his contract with the Yankees that will allow him to opt out on May 1. With no real need for a shaky and aging starter, the Bombers might go ahead and cut ties before then.

Millwood’s agent has probably already begun the process of finding his client a spot within another organization. The 36-year-old turned in a 5.10 ERA over 31 starts last season for the Orioles.
