Brewers outfielder Khris Davis has a torn meniscus in his right knee and will undergo surgery on Tuesday, MLB.com’s Adam McCalvy reports. Davis suffered the injury on a swing as he struck out in the first inning Saturday against the Diamondbacks. Gerardo Parra took over in left field to begin the second inning.

It’s not known yet exactly how long Davis will be out, though it should be for at least a month. He was having a productive season, batting .252/.339/.449 with five home runs and 16 RBI in 168 plate appearances. Parra figures to get most of the playing time in left field while Davis is out. Parra has performed about as well offensively, hitting .292/.320/.467 with two home runs and 14 RBI in 128 PA.
