The Oakland Athletics have signed catcher Nick Hundley to a minor league contract with an invite to major league camp.
Hundley has spent the past two seasons across the Bay with the Giants. Last season he batted .241/.298/.408 with 10 homers over 96 games with the Giants. Which is pretty much what he always does and what passes as perfectly acceptable for a part-time catcher these days. All of which makes one think that he stands a pretty good chance of making the A’s roster out of spring training.
