He cut his finger on a broken souvenir beer mug.
Diekman was reaching into his suitcase for a beer mug he bought at the “Cheers” bar in Boston during the Rangers’ last road trip to face the Red Sox. The mug had broken in his bag and a piece of glass pierced his finger. I bet after he went to the ER everyone knew his name.
