Texas Rangers reliever Keone Kela had arthroscopic surgery on his right elbow to remove a bone spur today and will be out for about three months. Kela, 23, experienced pain Tuesday when he pitched against the Astros. Losing him is a blow to an already struggling Rangers pen, which has the worst ERA in the American League.

Texas called up right-hander Phil Klein from Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday to replace Kela.
