Evan Drellich of NBC Sports Boston reports that the Red Sox have signed 1B/OF Adam Lind to a minor league contract.

Lind, 34, had been playing for the Yankees at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, but opted out of his contract last week. In 16 games at Triple-A this season, Lind hit .241/.302/.414 with a pair of homers and seven RBI across 63 plate appearances.

First base and all three outfield positions are spoken for in Boston, so it appears that Lind will serve as depth at Triple-A Pawtucket.
