Rockies need to be “overwhelmed” for Wilin Rosario trade
Colorado signed veteran catcher Nick Hundley to a two-year free agent contract on Wednesday and there’s been talk this winter of the club trying to move 25-year-old Wilin Rosario, who has been the Rockies’ starting backstop for the past three seasons. But the Colorado front office isn’t willing to connect those same dots -- not publicly, and apparently not privately. From ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick on Twitter ...
#Rockies have told teams they’re holding onto Wilin Rosario unless they’re overwhelmed. Hundley signing doesn’t mean he’s gone.

Rosario is a mess defensively and his offensive numbers have been in decline since his impressive 2012 rookie campaign. He fits much better in the American League, where he could DH, but attractive offers probably aren’t pouring in at the moment. Rosario is eligible for salary arbitration for the first time this winter.
