The 51-32 Brewers have the best record in the National League and the largest division lead in MLB, boasting a 6.5-game cushion over the second-place Cardinals just beyond the midpoint of the season.

Carlos Gomez hit a three-run homer and closer Francisco Rodriguez earned his major league-high 27th save as the upstart Brewers won their fourth consecutive game 7-4 on Saturday night at home against the Rockies. Milwaukee tagged Colorado starter Jhoulys Chacin for those seven runs on 11 hits and a walk, driving his season ERA from 4.84 all the way to 5.40.

The Brewers will be going for a sweep of the Rox on Sunday afternoon.

It’ll be Yovani Gallardo versus Jorge De La Rosa.
