The New York Times’ Ben Shpigel asks why the Mets seem insistent on dealing Luis Castillo. Seems like an easy call to me: he has no range he has no power, he makes too much money, and there are actually teams out there who might want to deal for him. The real question, it seems, is why Omar Minaya called Castillo the Mets’ “most valuable player” for 2009 last week.
