The tabloids are gonna miss A-Rod

Alex Rodriguez

As I noted earlier, Alex Rodriguez’s final game is (probably) tonight. Those of us who are devoted members of the Knights of A-Rod Defense Society are going to be sad when he’s gone, but we’re not the only ones.

Indeed, even Alex Rodriguez’s greatest detractors -- like the New York Daily News -- are going to miss him. I mean, who else are they going to go to for this sort of content after tonight?

It was actually a text, but read the whole story for all of the nuances at play. Maybe the Daily News I-Team will followup with an investigative report about A-Rod’s emoji use. Then perhaps a deep dive about whether it’s really unacceptable to “ghost” a guy you haven’t really worked with on the regular since 2012 and with whom you aren’t really friends. This is the stuff people want to know.

And I don’t mean that completely sarcastically. I clicked the dang link because I wanted to know. Say what you want about A-Rod, but he has always made us look. For any number of reasons. Even kinda dumb ones.
