It’s not easy to homer off of Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen. Opposing batters hit only four of them during the regular season, spanning 68 2/3 innings pitched by the right-hander.
Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth didn’t seem to have any trouble lining up a cutter that didn’t cut in the top of the ninth inning of Game 3, played at Dodger Stadium on Monday afternoon. With the Nats leading 4-3, Werth padded the lead and kickstarted what would become a four-run inning by launching a home run that would have traveled an estimated 450 feet if it didn’t hit the seats first, according to Statcast.

Werth now has 15 career home runs in the postseason, ranking fifth among active players, per Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post.
The Nationals went on to win 8-3, taking 2-1 lead over the Dodgers in the NLDS. They’ll have a chance to clinch on Tuesday.
