While the Internet was still abuzz with reactions to Hall of Famer Goose Gossage’s recent comments about him, Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista was having fun with the Phillie Phanatic. On Saturday, the Phillies visited the Blue Jays. While Bautista didn’t play in the game, he did participate in a grueling test of physical endurance with the mascot.

Bautista would demonstrate a particular exercise and the Phanatic would have to match him. Near the end, the Phanatic challenged Bautista to do a one-armed push-up and the slugger couldn’t keep up.

The Phanatic wasn’t exactly a gracious winner, as he beckoned to the crowd for praise. No word yet on Gossage’s thoughts on the Phanatic’s display of emotion.
