Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts extended his hitting streak to 25 games with a line drive single to center field in the sixth inning of Wednesday’s game against the Orioles at Camden Yards.

It’s been a wild one, as the two clubs combined to score 15 runs in the game’s first three innings. The Orioles are leading 9-8 after taking the lead in the bottom of the sixth. Bogaerts is 1-for-4 thus far.

Bogaerts is four games shy of matching teammate Jackie Bradley, Jr.'s 29-game hitting streak, the longest in the majors this season and tied for the fourth-longest in Red Sox history. Bogaerts entered the night batting .350/.401/.516 with six home runs and 30 RBI in 237 plate appearances.
