    Angels released OF Ryan Aguilar.
Aguilar made it into seven contests last season for the Angels, but has been cut loose after batting .169/.313/.231 with one homer and two steals across 22 games this season for Double-A Rocket City. The 28-year-old outfielder is merely organizational depth, if he winds up finding another opportunity somewhere else.

Angels re-signed OF Ryan Aguilar to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Aguilar got his first call-up with the big club in September, but went just 3-for-22 with a double and 14 strikeouts. The 28-year-old had a great year in Double-A, posting a .272/.415/.491 batting line with 15 home runs and 11 steals over 93 games. He’ll give the Angels some outfield depth headed into camp in the spring.

The 23-year-old has continued to struggle in his opportunities with the big league club, slashing a mere .225/.271/.370 with six homers, 20 RBI, four stolen bases and a 78/10 K/BB ratio over 215 plate appearances. Ryan Aguilar will start in his place in left field and bat eighth for the Halos against Lance McCullers and the Astros on Friday evening in Los Angeles.
