The FIA has issued the provisional list of driver ratings across sportscar racing for the 2017 season, confirming a number of revisions to the existing classifications.

Sportscar drivers are currently rated as platinum, gold, silver or bronze depending on their experience and success, with different classes having different requirements for the make-up of driver line-ups.

Driver ratings have been subject to much debate in recent years, making the issuing of the provisional ratings for 2017 significant.

You can see the extensive 54-page document detailing all of the driver ratings for 2017 by clicking here, but these are some of the changes that will directly impact the FIA World Endurance Championship:

Gustavo Menezes (Signatech Alpine) - Silver to Gold
Roman Rusinov (G-Drive Racing) - Silver to Gold
Richie Stanaway (Aston Martin Racing) - Gold to Platinum
