Three weeks after winning his fourth IndyCar championship, instead of a long break of rest and relaxation, Scott Dixon will be back at work Tuesday.

Dixon will be one of 10 IndyCar drivers slated to take part in an open test at the iconic Road America, the 4.048-mile twisting road course in central Wisconsin, about an hour north of Milwaukee.

The Elkhart Lake, Wis., facility, which celebrated its 60th anniversary this year, will throw open its doors not only to drivers and teams Tuesday, but also to fans and media.

The test will be in preparation for the Road America Grand Prix on June 23-26, 2016, which will mark IndyCar’s return to the iconic track for the first time since 2007. Road America hosted the series every year from 1982 through 2007.

“I’m excited to go back. It’s one of the old-school American tracks that reminds me a little bit of Watkins Glen with the style of racing,” Dixon said in an IndyCar media release. “We’ll work through a lot of things so when we come back next year we’ll be prepared to challenge for the win.”

Other drivers scheduled to test include Dixon’s Chip Ganassi Racing teammates Tony Kanaan and Charlie Kimball, AJ Foyt Racing’s Takuma Sato, CFH Racing’s Josef Newgarden, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Graham Rahal and Team Penske’s Helio Castroneves, Juan Pablo Montoya, Simon Pagenaud and Will Power.

The test session will go from 8:30 am to 4 pm CT. Fan admission is $20, with half of that amount going to the Wilson Children’s Fund to benefit the family of the late Justin Wilson.
