Williams test driver Susie Wolff has become the latest confirmed competitor for this November’s Race of Champions in London, joining Team Scotland.

The Race of Champions pits a number of drivers from an array of series up against each other in a multidiscipline challenge, and will take place at London’s Olympic Stadium on November 20-21.

The likes of Sebastian Vettel, Daniel Ricciardo, Jorge Lorenzo and Tom Kristensen have already signed up for the event, and Wolff will now join them, racing alongside former F1 driver David Coulthard for Team Scotland.

“Last year was a fantastic experience so I’m delighted to be coming back to the Race Of Champions,” Wolff said. “It’s a very challenging event, you just go in and try to find the limit as quickly as possible in all the different cars while trying to avoid mistakes – all of it against some of the world’s best drivers.

“But it was great to have David as my teammate last year and even better to reach the final of the ROC Nations Cup. Now we can hopefully count on some extra support in London so we’ll try our best to do it again. I can’t wait to get back out there enjoying the adrenalin of racing once more.”

Wolff made history in 2014 by becoming the first woman in 22 years to take part in a grand prix weekend in practice for the British Grand Prix, and has enjoyed further run-outs with Williams in 2015 as part of her role with the team.

Although her future in F1 beyond the end of the season remains unclear, she will get the chance to prove herself up against some of racing’s biggest names at the Race of Champions in November.
