As we near the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500, NBC Sports will be counting down some of the top moments in the race’s illustrious history, right up until May 26.

Start with the top five qualifying moments, including Ed Carpenter’s hometown moment in 2013, Janet Guthrie breaking a barrier in 1977 and that time when Arie Luyendyk went faster than anyone else, ever.
