NASCAR Ford Championship Weekend schedule at Homestead-Miami Speedway

homestead-miami speedway logo

This is it, the grand finale, the main event, the biggest show of shows if you’re a NASCAR driver, team member or just a fan.

Sunday’s Ford EcoBoost 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway not only marks the end of the 2015 Sprint Cup season, it also marks the day that NASCAR will crown a new Sprint Cup champion. Contending for the title will be Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr.

But there are two very significant undercard events as well this weekend.

Four drivers remain in contention for the Xfinity crown, which will be determined Saturday -- points leader Chris Buescher, defending champ Chase Elliott, Ty Dillon and Regan Smith.

As for the Truck championship, it’s likely the new champ will be one of two 19-year-olds (points leader Erik Jones or Tyler Reddick), making the youngest champion in NASCAR history. Two-time defending Truck champ Matt Crafton is left with only a mathematical shot at the title Friday night.
