‘Chicago P.D.’ star Jon Seda honorary pace car driver for Sprint Cup’s Chicagoland race

Before the 43 cars starting in Sunday’s Sprint Cup race at Chicagoland Speedway take the green flag, they will be led around the 1.5-mile track by actor Jon Seda.

Seda, a star on the NBC drama “Chicago P.D.,” has been announced as the honorary pace car driver for Sunday’s 400, which airs on NBCSN.

Seda portrays Detective Antonio Dawson, a role that originated on the series “Chicago Fire"and is also know for playing Detective Paul Falsone in NBC’s “Homicide: Life on the Streets.”

There will be other “Chicago P.D.” actors at Chicagoland. Seda will be joined by co-stars Marina Squerciati, Patrick Flueger and LaRoyce Hawkins.

Season 3 of “Chicago P.D.” begins on Set. 30.
