After posting seven victories and finishing second in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship in 2013, Matt Kenseth failed to reach Victory Lane in 2014.
With his third season at Joe Gibbs Racing about to start, Kenseth isn’t making grand predictions for himself, crew chief Jason Ratcliff, and his No. 20 Dollar General team.
But he did make one promise when he spoke with NASCAR AMERICA’s Dave Burns during Sprint Unlimited practice today at Daytona International Speedway.
“I promise we won’t win less than we did last year,” Kenseth said before laughing.
For more of Kenseth’s thoughts on 2015 and how he fared today, check out the full interview at the top.
Kenseth was eighth-quickest in the first practice, but had the best 10-consecutive lap average in the session. He did not take part in the second practice.
