POLL: Do you think NASCAR should penalize Cole Pearn?

After separate incidents that involved Danica Patrick getting out of her car and walking up a live racetrack and Kyle Busch's derogatory comments towards NASCAR on his radio, what will be the fallout from NASCAR?

Steve O’Donnell, NASCAR’s chief racing development officer, said Monday on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio that series officials will review whether to penalize crew chief Cole Pearn for a tweet he sent after Sunday’s race.

Pearn was upset at Joey Logano for causing Martin Truex Jr. to hit the wall as the drivers raced for fourth place with about 50 laps left.

Pearn later apologized for the tweet.

Section 12.8.d in the Sprint Cup Rule Book states that “NASCAR expects Members to police their own behavior, attempt to resolve disputes with other Members, and generally act as a role model representing the sport. … a Member’s action or omission may give rise for the need for NASCAR to step in, review the matter, and if necessary take action to maintain the fairness of Competition and/or the integrity of the sport.’’

Section 12.8.e states that “NASCAR Members shall not make or cause to be made a public statement and/or communication that criticizes, ridicules, or otherwise disparages another person based upon that person’s race, color, creed, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, age, or handicapping condition.”

What, if anything, should NASCAR do in this matter?
