Should a road course be added to the Chase for the Sprint Cup, and if so, which one?

That was the question asked in the August edition of the Century Poll which includes team members, car owners, crew chiefs, crew members, drivers and media members. There are 50 votes from those working in the NASCAR garage and 50 votes from media members.

The top result, picked by 23 people, was to have Watkins Glen International, the seven-turn road course that the Sprint Cup visited this last weekend, moved into the 10-race Chase.

The second most popular choice was to add the Circuit of the Americas road course in Austin, Texas, for a third one the schedule.

After the options of Sonoma Raceway (12 votes), Road America (11) and Laguna Seca (10), nine voters selected the option of not adding a race to the Chase. Eight garage members selected it in addition to one media member.

Also receiving votes: Road Atlanta (five), Mid-Ohio (three), Montreal (three), Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (two) and Virginia International Raceway (one).

Ten different tracks earned at least one vote, with two voters believing a temporary-street course should be added to the Chase.

Do you think a road-course should be added to the Chase for the Sprint Cup?
