SONOMA, Calif. — The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will play host Sunday to the first of two road courses this season with the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway.

Here are the particulars (all times are ET):

START: Professional climber Kevin Jorgeson and Freemont Toyota assistant service manager Sergio Rizo will give the command for drivers to start their engines at 3:08 p.m. ET. The green flag is scheduled for 3:20 p.m.

DISTANCE: The race is scheduled for 110 laps (218.9 miles) around the 12-turn, 1.99-mile course.

PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Sprint Cup garage opens at 10 a.m., and the drivers meeting is at 1 p.m. Driver introductions begin at 2:25 p.m.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: It will be performed by Morgan Karr at 3:01 p.m.

TV/RADIO: Fox Sports 1 will broadcast the race, starting with a prerace show at 2 p.m. Performance Racing Network will broadcast the race on radio and at SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will carry PRN’s broadcast.

FORECAST: The site predicts 72 degrees at race time with a 0% chance of rain.

LAST TIME: Last year, Carl Edwards led the final 26 laps, taking the lead from road-course ace Marcos Ambrose and fending off a charge by Jeff Gordon. It was the second victory of the season and the 23rd and final win at Roush Fenway Racing for Edwards, who moved to Joe Gibbs Racing this year.

CALIFORNIA TRENDING: There have been no repeat winners in the past 10 races at Sonoma, which is indicative of the emphasis placed on road courses by drivers with predominantly oval backgrounds (such as Edwards, Clint Bowyer and Martin Truex Jr., the past three winners there). The track also has been an equalizer for teams – it’s been five years since a win there by Hendrick Motorsports, and Joe Gibbs Racing is seven years removed from victory lane.
