Today’s Sprint Cup race at New Hampshire


LOUDON, N.H. — The second race of the Chase for the Sprint Cup takes place today at New Hampshire Motor Speedway with the Sylvania 300.

Here are the particulars (all times are ET):

START: Julian Dench, senior vice president and general manager of Osram Sylvania, will give the command to start engines at 2:07 p.m. ET. The green flag is scheduled for 2:15 p.m.

DISTANCE: The race is scheduled for 300 laps (317.4 miles) around the 1.058-mile track.

PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Sprint Cup garage opens at 8 a.m. The drivers meeting is at noon. Driver introductions are at 1:30 p.m.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: It will be performed at 2:01 p.m..

TV/RADIO: NBCSN will broadcast the race (and streaming available at, starting with NASCAR America at 1 p.m., followed by Countdown to Green at 1:30 p.m. and race coverage at 2 p.m. Performance Racing Network will broadcast the race on radio and at SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will carry PRN’s broadcast.

FORECAST: The site predicts 69 degrees at race time with a 0% chance of rain.

LAST TIME: Kyle Busch rallied from a lap down to win in July. Joey Logano led the final 30 laps to win this race last year. Kevin Harvick finished third in both races.
