Jimmy Means Racing is asking fans for help after the team’s hauler caught on fire while returning from last Saturday’s Xfinity Series race at Kentucky Speedway.

A crowdfunding site for the team was started, and it had raised $4,300 in 15 hours (its goal is $5,000) to cover new computers for the pit box and repairs to the hauler.

The team posted Facebook photos and video of the aftermath of the fire, which occurred just 80 miles from the team’s shop in North Carolina. It also said a crew member injured his hand while assisting firefighters.

Gase is ranked 21st in the Xfinity points standings after a 21st at Kentucky. The team is planning to use the same No. 52 Chevrolet in Saturday’s race at Dover International Speedway after determining it wasn’t damaged by the fire

Gase finished a career-best fifth in May at Talladega Superspeedway.
