NBA storylines for 2013-14 season
Will the Heat three-peat?
The health of Dwayne Wade and the resurrection of Chris Bosh will likely determine the Heat's success this season. Though LeBron James is undoubtedly the most electric talent in the NBA right now, he will need some help in the 2014 playoffs in order to take down teams like the Oklahoma City Thunder, Brooklyn Nets and Indiana Pacers.
Will the Nets live up to the hype?
The Brooklyn Nets acquired Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce from the Celtics in the off-season. Will these seasoned veterans alongside a constantly improving Brook Lopez and an experienced guard, Deron Williams, be able to contend for a championship this year under first-year head coach Jason Kidd?
How will Dwight Howard fare in Houston?
With the addition of Dwight Howard to the Rockets, is Houston now a serious contender? After a tumultuous exit from the Orlando Magic and then the Los Angeles Lakers the next year, will superman be able to return to old form, when he was the most imposing big man in the league? Hopefully Howard will be able to mesh with Jeremy Lin, Omer Asik and James Harden to bring success to Houston.
