1,016 people brave snow to see Nets

The choice: Stay warm and toasty inside your house, cover yourself in a blanket on the couch, and catch up on DVR’d episodes of Big Bang Theory. Or, bundle up and brave a heavy snowstorm to see the Nets play the Bucks.

Apparently, 1,016 people feel differently than you and me.

That’s how many people made it to the IZOD Center the Milwaukee Bucks thrashing of the Nets Wednesday night. Nets attendance this season has not been impressive on the best of nights. Because 4-47 teams are not big draws, save for sadists.

The game on television did not seem dramatically different -- clearly fans were allowed down to the lowest level of seats, so some areas looked like that the crowd was not that small. Then a player would dive for a ball over the baseline photographers, and the shot would show nobody sitting in the stands behind the basket. Those shots were eerie.

If you stayed home, I don’t want to spoil the surprise for you, but you didn’t miss a Nets win. Or even a close loss where they were in it to the end. So, you missed another average Nets game. May be no reason to go out to the next one either, regardless of the weather.
