If the Blazers are to have any chance at a long shot playoff berth this season, they’ll need a healthy Wesley Matthews starting at the two for as much of the campaign as possible.
Matthews experienced an irregular heartbeat during practice on Wednesday, however, and at the moment is listed as being day-to-day.

Matthews underwent an electrical cardioversion procedure this afternoon and his heartbeat has returned to normal.
He did not travel with the team to Oakland and is out for tomorrow night’s preseason game at Golden State and is listed day-to-day.Anything involving the heart is a potentially scary situation, and we obviously wish Matthews all the best. He averaged 14.8 points and 2.5 assists in 69 starts for the Blazers last season.
