The Timberwolves haven’t had a winning season in nine years, but they’ve had plenty of moments for their fans to be optimistic in that span. Just last season, Minnesota spent significant portions of the year above .500, in range of a playoff berth.

Even the 76ers started 3-0 and hung on until 5-4 last season before showing everyone how historically awful they were.

The point: Temporarily having a winning record is not some grand feat.

Unless you’re the Milwaukee Bucks.

Entering today, the Bucks’ last full day with a winning record came March 21, 2013 – a day before a loss to the Hawks dropped them 34-34 en route to a 38-44 finish.

But Milwaukee’s 117-113 win over the Knicks tonight lifted the Bucks to 6-5, giving Bucks fans everywhere in Wisconsin tangible reason to believe this season could amount to something.

For perspective, here’s how long each team had gone since its last full day with a winning record entering today. Scroll aaaaall the way down for the Bucks.
