DeMarcus Cousins elbowed Al Horford’s head, and the Kings center got away with it during the game.

But the league noticed.

NBA release:

Sacramento Kings forward DeMarcus Cousins has been suspended one game without pay for hitting Atlanta Hawks forward Al Horford in the head with a forearm, it was announced today by Kiki VanDeWeghe, Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.

The incident occurred with 2:00 remaining in the first quarter of the Hawks’ 103-97 win over the Kings on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at Philips Arena.

Cousins will serve his suspension tonight when the Kings face the Miami Heat at 7:30 p.m. ET at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Cousins probably should’ve been tossed during the game, but the league got the final call right.
