Doc Rivers on forgiving Blake Griffin: ‘We built Richard Nixon a library’

Not only will Blake Griffin's broken hand, as a result of a fight with a Clippers staff member, keep him from a tough stretch in the schedule, but it's harmful for his personal image which Kurt Helin calls a "black eye."

Doc Rivers spoke with reporters before Friday night’s Clippers-Lakers game about the recent incident between Blake Griffin and a Clippers equipment manager, which resulted in Griffin breaking his hand. Above all else, Rivers stressed how awful Griffin feels about the whole thing:

That’s a little bit of hyperbole to equate Griffin with Nixon, but Doc is right that this incident should not define Blake or his character forever.
