Dwight Howard missed eleven games for the Rockets earlier this season due to injury, but that appeared to have been resolved in mid-December.
Howard returned for a 22-game stretch, but has now missed his team’s last four games due to a knee injury that is potentially more serious.
It was reported that the ailment could cause Howard to miss extended time, and after the latest announcement from the team, it looks like that will indeed be the case.

That’s obviously a very long time in a crowded Western Conference, though it’s worth noting that thanks in large part to the offensive brilliance of James Harden, the Rockets are 11-5 with Howard out of the lineup to this point in the season.
