Dwyane Wade says he still hasn’t received Pat Riley’s email

Charlotte Bobcats v Miami Heat

Pat Riley reportedly never called Dwyane Wade during a free agency that saw the guard leave the Heat for the Bulls.

But the Miami president said in July he was drafting a long email to Wade, presumably fondly recollecting on their 13 years together.

Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald:

Wade:

It’s a funny thing about phones. Spellcheck sometimes mess up. So, I haven’t received it yet, but I’m sure it’s coming.

I guess Wade has already suffered what he perceived to be a bigger slap in the face from Riley. At this point, waiting a few more weeks – or even months – to hear from his former boss isn’t so bad.
