Gerald Green looks for boat, Chris Paul and Rockets’ owner donate money to help Houston flood victims

J.J. Watt is raising money to help with the Hurricane Harvey flood relief. Here's how you can help.

The flooding tragedy still unfolding in Houston and surrounding areas at the hands of former hurricanes Henry is heartbreaking. The area is flooded, devastated, there have been deaths and countless lives that will never be the same.

The NBA family is responding already — from Houston native and Celtics’ guard Gerald Green to the Houston Rockets.

Green is trying to help on the ground — he wants a boat to go rescue people.

New Rocket Chris Paul teamed up with Texans’ star J.J. Watt to help out his fundraising efforts for relief.

The Rockets and owner Leslie Alexander are making a massive $4 million donation to the Houston mayor’s relief efforts.

If you want to help, in any amount you can, follow this link to Watt’s fundraising efforts, there are other worthy organizations on the ground in Houston, or you can donate to the American Red Cross, which currently has more than 30 shelters open in the region. Every little bit helps.
