After struggling for most of the last couple of weeks (they’re on a three-game losing streak), the Hawks are getting an important bench piece back. The team announced that guard Thabo Sefolosha, one of their best perimeter defenders, will play tonight against the Pelicans after sitting out the last 23 games with a calf injury.

Hawks guard Thabo Sefolosha is expected to play tonight probable at Orlando after being out since Jan. 30 with a right calf strain.

Sefolosha went down during January 30’s game against Portland, which was the 18th game in Atlanta’s 19-game winning streak. Without him, the Hawks have gone 14-9, good enough to hold onto the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference but far from the level they had been playing at before he got hurt. Kent Bazemore has been solid in his place, but it will be a huge help for the Hawks to get everybody healthy before the playoffs.
