Just a couple minutes into the second half of Cavs-Warriors II, with Cleveland getting blown out, J.R. Smith ran into Harrison Barnes with his shoulder, sending him to the ground. The play was initially called a personal foul, but after video review, officials upgraded it to a Flagrant 2, and Smith was ejected.

This seemed like a borderline call. A flagrant 1 would have been the most logical outcome, but there was likely an element of reputation involved. If it was anybody but Smith (or maybe Matt Barnes), it wouldn’t have been called the way it was. But down big, it’s a bad look.
