Jae Crowder hopes J.R. Smith apologizes, implies threat if Cavaliers guard doesn’t

Kelly Olynyk apologized for yanking Kevin Love’s shoulder out of place, and Love eventually accepted.

But that wasn’t the only dirty play in the final game of last season’s Cavaliers-Celtics first-round series.

J.R. Smith also swung wildly and whacked Jae Crowder in the face.

Crowder, whose Celtics host Cleveland tomorrow, via A. Sherrod Blakely of CSN Boston:

“I hope he apologizes tomorrow, to be honest with you,” Crowder said. “I hope it wasn’t intentional. But if he doesn’t, then we’ll play ball.”

When told by a reporter on Monday that the incident looked like a cheap shot, Crowder went into “both teams played hard” mode and responded, “I hope he apologizes tomorrow. If he doesn’t, we’ll play ball.”

The good ole apology request/thinly veiled threat.
