Toure’ Murry received a decent amount of interest last summer following his rookie year with the Knicks, and he ultimately signed with the Jazz.

But the partnership hasn’t really worked.

Even with injuries to Alec Burks and Rodney Hood, Murry played only one minute in one game.

So, Utah is moving on.

Jazz release:

The Utah Jazz announced today that the team has waived guard Toure’ Murry.

The Jazz have already paid Murry’s $250,000 guarantee, and the rest of his $1 million salary would have become guaranteed if he remained on the roster Saturday. This way, Utah won’t owe Murry anything more.

The Jazz’s roster now stands at 14 players, and they’ll reportedly sign Elijah Millsap to fill the vacancy.
